1 | Die unexposed to Jesus no redemption? | Eph 1:5 | johnycan | 186346
Two fold question. People that die without ever knowing of Jesus or God, will they have any chance at redemption? And unbelievers that died have no chance at redemption during the tribulation. Or is a second chance at that time not really foretold?

Hi Johnycan. Perhaps the following verses will be of help. Rom 2:6 who "will render to each one according to his deeds":* Rom 2:7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; Rom 2:11 For there is no partiality with God. Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law Rom 2:13 (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; Rom 2:14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, Rom 2:15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) 2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,* not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Eze 18:32 "For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live!" Eze 33:11 "Say to them: 'As I live,' says the Lord GOD, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?' Eze 18:21 "But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. Eze 18:22 "None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live. Eze 18:23 "Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?" says the Lord GOD, "and not that he should turn from his ways and live? May the Lord bless you, and keep you safe. Edwin. 3 | Die unexposed to Jesus no redemption? | Eph 1:5 | DocTrinsograce | 186382
"This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:11-12 ESV) "Peter's words here are clear; 'there is no name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.' This means that the only way anyone will ever heaven is through the name of Jesus. What does this mean: "First, it means that Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. Given the OT background to Peter's assertion here, there is no doubt that in Jesus of Nazareth, God's promised righteousness and salvation is revealed. There will be no one in heaven who is not trusting in Jesus Christ and in him alone. For it is only through the redemption purchased for us by Christ -- in his sinless life and sacrificial death -- and through faith in him (i.e. in his name) that sin can be forgiven, and that men and women can be accounted righteous. There is no other way. "Second, those so-called evangelicals ... who argue that men and women are saved through the name of Jesus, but that there are many roads to Jesus (i.e., the 'faith principle' found in the various world religions), do not have a leg to stand on. It is Paul who explicitly makes this point in Romans 10 when he says, 'How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?' It is clear from texts like Acts 4:12, that Christianity makes an exclusive truth claim to be the only true religion, and that we cannot remove the scandal of the cross, simply because it is such an offense to democratic Americans who think all religions are good, since they contribute to the public morality. But the Scripture says that there is only one way to God, and because in Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, all races, tribes and tongues, are called to embrace God's only savior. Indeed, the multitude before the throne, worshiping the only Savior come from every race and tribe upon the earth. "Beloved, there is no way to heaven but through the sinless life and sacrificial death of Jesus. This exclusive claim is not bad news, or a sign of God's narrowness. In fact, the cross is the picture of God's love for a sinful and fallen world, for through the cross God was reconciling sinners unto himself, and through the preaching of that cross, God freely gives salvation in Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven whereby men may be saved." --Dr. Kim Riddlebarger "It comes as a shock to many people, therefore, when they read the words of Jesus: 'I am the way...no one comes to the Father but by me.' Or when they read the words of Peter in an early Christian sermon: 'There is salvation in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.' It may be offensive to the modern western mind-set, but the Christianity of the New Testament claims to be the unique and exclusive way of salvation." --Reverend Brian Maiden |

Dear Edwin, I believe the onus of responsibility is on you. Rather than ask me to justify your odd doctrine for me, perhaps, you should explain to me how Christ's sacrifice can be so unnecessary that people can be saved without the gospel? Explain how Christ is not exclusive in the passages I originally gave. Explain why Christians have been wrong in teaching salvation was by Christ alone. Explain the source of your new revelation that contradicts 2000 years of the doctrine of the exclusivisty of Christ. Explain why people risk life and limb to take an optional gospel around the world. In Him, Doc |
