1 | The cross of Jesus:10. The world:0 | Gal 6:14 | dnbborch | 42547
This verse is significant, as to Paul's heart for the world. It had no hold on him, and he had nothing in it of value. However, he qualifies that to a married man, in that he should provide for his wife and family, the necessities of the world, but recognizing that it is God who will supply them. We need not go after them as do those who know not our Savior. Give me a heart like Paul's, on the world. Amen.
2 | The cross of Jesus:10. The world:0 | Gal 6:14 | Makarios | 42562
Greetings dnbborch! One thing is for certain, and that is that Paul had his eyes fixed on Jesus Christ! "Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:1-2) Paul might not have written the book of Hebrews, but if he did, then he is telling us here the very concentration of his heart! Blessings to you, Makarios |
