I am only concerned with the attitude that this doctrine is presented with. Sometimes is is with an arogance that I can do what I want and get away with it. This is not true we have the liberty to sin, but it always has consequences, our Father will hold us accountable. Those who do not believe you are saved and kept saved by faith, by default believe that it is by their works they are saved, and this is a works doctrine and those who practice salvation by works are "fallen from grace" (Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law (Works based religon); ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith) not menaning lost if they are born again, but they are short circuiting the grace of God that wants to flow through them. But in my mothers church they teach salvation by faith but, they also teach that once you get saved there is nothing you can do to become unsaved. Therefore there is no such thing as a backsliden condition. I left her church because I don't believe A LOT of the things that they teach. This is just one of the many wrong teachings of the bible as I understand the word of God. Please tell me what you know to be the truth about this idea. | ||||||
