NASB | Galatians 5:4 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 5:4 You have been severed from Christ, if you seek to be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] through the Law; you have fallen from grace [for you have lost your grasp on God's unmerited favor and blessing]. |
Bible Question: 1 John 3:1-24 Does this passage also not proclaim that OSAS is a total embellishment? Thanks,Jason |
Bible Answer: I am only concerned with the attitude that this doctrine is presented with. Sometimes is is with an arogance that I can do what I want and get away with it. This is not true we have the liberty to sin, but it always has consequences, our Father will hold us accountable. Those who do not believe you are saved and kept saved by faith, by default believe that it is by their works they are saved, and this is a works doctrine and those who practice salvation by works are "fallen from grace" (Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law (Works based religon); ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith) not menaning lost if they are born again, but they are short circuiting the grace of God that wants to flow through them.
