I was just wondering about Cor 7:15.When it mentions the term "departs" does that mean spiritually or physically(or both!). If we give ourselves to the Lord in full and its more than our spouses are willing to give themselves, is that considered one 'departing' from the other.I mean if we are married to an unbeliever and if we have to compromise our faith are we not in sin.Is it a question of whats more important, following the Lord or compromising to keep a marriage in peace? Or is it more important to follow the Lord whole heartedly (whatever the cost may be), and then if he or she is still willing to live with the believer 'Cor 7:12-13' maybe they do have a deep need for the Lord after all. Or maybe they won't. 'cor 7:16'. The Lord knows. P.S. May God bless all marriages. They are the root of any strong nation. |

wwv, 1 Cor 7:15 means physically departing, since the unbeliever was never there spiritually. It is most important to follow the Lord and never compromise. Study Israel. The downfall of marriages will destroy a strong nation ... look at Rome. Hope this helps, Searcher |
