1 | 1 Timothy 1:20 | 1 Cor 5:1 | Dominus Illuminatio Mea | 203265
In 1Timothy 1:20 Paul speaks of "Hymenaeus and Alexander", whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blapheme." The only other reference I have found of these two individuals is in 2 Timothy 2:17-18 and 2 Timothy 4:14. Does anybody know more of the significance of this passage? Also what does Paul mean when he says he delivered them to Satan? The only thing that I might have found is in Acts 13:45 when there was discourse concerning the Gentiles, but I am not sure I am on the right track.
