1 | Apostles, Prophets? An Office for Today? | 1 Cor 1:1 | gracefull | 74120
Can you give me a scriptural definition of a 'pastor' or an 'evangelist'? I do not see any scriptural qualifications specified. The church organizations have defined these positions. Your question concerning the apostles being alive does answer the question being discussed. |

3 | Apostles, Prophets? An Office for Today? | 1 Cor 1:1 | gracefull | 74188
I believe your statement is based on your predetermined conclusion. Just as there are those who say there are no 'miracles' or 'gifts of the spirit' in operation today. If I believe they have ceased, I will not accept the testimony or witness of those who believe and operate in the gifts. Each time you and I talk, you insist on having the discussion based on 'belief' rather than scripture, then get made at me when I use scripture to explain my beliefs. Why is that? |

5 | Apostles, Prophets? An Office for Today? | 1 Cor 1:1 | gracefull | 74218
Justme, as I said, each time you try to engage me in a conversation your attitude and lack of scripture disturb me. If you want to discuss scripture which is my source of my beliefs. If I believe based on opinion of others, or experience my belief is not faith based. My faith is in God's word, not in what I see or understand with my carnal intellect. Justme, when I came to the Lord I came with the total understanding that He is all there is.He is all wisdom, He is all understanding, all love. I did not come from a 'religious' background so there wer no preconceived ideas about God. I came offering myself as a blank page for Him to write upon..I have very little ego or self confidence but I am bold in the Lord. Why would I discuss experience or judge someone else's calling? No justme...it's all about God's word and His Holy Spirit. May God bless you with spiritual insight into what I just said. |
