2 | is cremation an option for a christian? | 1 Cor 15:50 | Lifer1J511 | 2870
Check 1 Cor 15:50 - 'Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.' Our bodies (or ashes left over) will not go into God's presence. They will be changed into bodies similar to our Lord's. Our bodies are perishable and must be changed for eternity. Consider all the Christian martyrs down through the ages (Wycliffe, etc.) who were cremated (not voluntarily, of course) but they will also have glorified bodies. I trust this helps.
