No, I know of no passage of Scripture that teaches that human beings are angels, ever were, or ever will be. My sense is that the Bible clearly teaches that human beings are entities created by God separate and apart from angels. I know of no instance in Scripture in which men became angels or angels men. --Hank
3 | Do humans become angels? | 1 Cor 13:1 | Makarios | 10177
Greetings scotth68! There are several Scriptural references that make a clear distinction between human beings and angels: Psalm 8:5, Heb. 1:14; 2:5,7,9; Rev. 19:10; Heb. 12:22,23; 1 Cor. 6:3; 13:1.. Colossians 1:16 states, "For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him." (NASB) Clearly, Scripture tells us that God created the angels- and He created them as angels. Human beings and angels are portrayed as different classes of beings in the Bible. Nolan |
