1 | Gos Can Speak! | 1 Cor 12:3 | teacher@earthsalvation.com | 219283 | ||
1 Cor 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit. ___ Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God... "Speaking by the Spirit of God." The "mute idols" of 1 Cor. 12:2 Could not speak. That is what "mute" means_cannot speak. But the spirit of God can speak. Glory to God! He is not a mute like an idol. This was an entirely new experience for the Corinthian believers. Imaging discovering that God can speak. What a wonderful truth of God that is being revealed here. Grasp it. Hang on to it. It is the truth of God's Word! Amen |

Dear teacher..., I don't quite get your point, sir. Of course God can speak and idols can't! The verse 1 Cor 12:3 you quote made a contrast between the true conversion to Christ (only by the Holy Spirit that one can say Jesus is Lord) and the denial of Christ (one that was without the Holy Spirit's work in him/her and claimed that Jesus is accursed). So, the point is not whether God can speak, but how God speaks and how He validates the converted to profess their faith. Could you please elaborate further? Thank you. Shalom Azure |
