2 | What dont you speak in tongues? | 1 Cor 12:30 | Makarios | 49135
Greetings, 1 Corinthians 12:30 is a piece of the conclusion of an entire chapter that teaches that each Christian has different gifts, and no one spiritual gift should be expected to be possessed by every believer. I do not speak in tongues, and I never have. But I am confident in my salvation. I know that I have been saved because of the change that has occurred within myself. And I know that I will be saved, not through speaking in tongues, but by the transformation that has happened within! Speaking in tongues saves no one. Only God's grace saves us, through faith, and grace does not come from anything that we can do, but from God only, since it is His gift to us. (Ephesians 2:8) I am thankful for those who do speak in tongues, but speaking in tongues DOES NOT save us. Blessings to you, Makarios |

(Ephesians 2:8) I am thankful for those who do speak in tongues, but speaking in tongues DOES NOT save us.) No tongues dont save anyone,But if you have not the Spirit of God you are lost."Not saying you dont."But it's clear when you receive the Holy Ghost,You will speak in tounges. You said you was saved because"But I am confident in my salvation. I know that I have been saved because of the change that has occurred within myself. And I know that I will be saved, not through speaking in tongues, but by the transformation that has happened within!"Thats not the Bible way to know we are saved.Iam sure you are seeking Jesus. And if you read the book of Acts God will show you the way.He gave peter the Keys(matt16:18,19) and said starting in Jerusalem(luke.24:47) the Church age will began. My Question is.Did you do as all the others in acts did.(Acts2:38)? |

4 | What dont you speak in tongues? | 1 Cor 12:30 | Makarios | 49148
Speaking in tongues does not serve to be the only evidence of a believer receiving the Holy Spirit into their life. The REAL evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit and being truly saved is a CHANGED LIFE. I ask you: is it more important to believe in Jesus Christ and confess Him as Lord (Romans 10:9,13) than it is to be able to speak in tongues? Makarios |
