1 | Do all believers get the H Spirit? When? | 1 Cor 12:13 | katlr | 154825
Do Christians receive the Holy Spirit when baptized in the name of Jesus, or is it a separate event? Acts 2:38 indicates that it is received along with baptism, but in Acts 10:44, the Holy Spirit came upon the household before they were baptized. Is it then possible, for a fully committed Christian to be baptized in the church, and not receive the Holy Spirit?

Hi katlr, Though this is a much debated topic, I believe 1 Cor. 12:13 is very clear: "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. " I hope this helps, BradK |
