1 | John Pilgrim: A question of deja vu | 1 Cor 12:10 | John Pilgrim | 115190 | ||
Dear Hank, The last thing I want is to stir up controversy over personalities. Suffice it to say that I informed Lockman of who I am before I applied for membership. I used the same email address as well. I'm sure if you contact them they will will answer in a way that is best for the forum as a whole. I have learned much from my first experience as a user. In fact I was certain that I had matured as a result of 1700 and more posts. My fatal flaw was my naievete. You ask me to be frank regarding my past, but in the past my openess was used against me. Anyone who has read John Pilgrim's posts, who knew me before, has no need to ask who I am. It is my hope that an un-biased perusal of my offerings will inform the reader that I am not in the business of shoving my doctrine down anyone's throat. What I am about is defending the faith once delivered to the saints. If that sounds "holier than thou", I aplogize. I don't mean for it to be taken that way. Have you ever been recieved the "left foot of friendship" from brothers whom you love? If not, I pray you never will. I can tell you, it hurt more than I thought it would. Keeping my eye on the prize and forgetting that which lies behind I remain Your Humble Servant and Loving Brother in Christ, John |

Medchill: May I suggest that this is a situation that is best left to those who have first hand experience on the issue and problem that existed sometime before you joined the forum. I think by asking John to respond to you with such personal information was unfair, and a little wanting him to bleed a little more. I would, If I were he. look at your proflie information and them answer ONLY if you had told us something about yourself. Now that's not required, but it is one way to let others know you are more than a pen name, is'nt it? To answer your question for what ever reason or motive you had, he has had two pen names. There has been som confusion about this. I personaly several years ago first signed in as "farout" Thsi name brought out a understanding that I might be "farout" in my theology. I carefully reconsidered after about 800 posts and WITH Lockmans approval, and me posting it for a good amount of time on my profile, I changed my pen name to "justme". I made no attempt to keep it undercover, no did I jump back in the forum because I was asked to leave. I made the change to show I was approchable. I think when this name changing happens it needs to be VERY OPEN, no misunderstandings whatsoever. I also believe that unless I participate and show something about myself it hampers the best response to questions and openess to me as a person. Blessings. justme |
