Hello Joe, "Controlled" seems to be too strong a term to use in defining the influence of the Spirit in the life of the christian. Would you care to elaborate on what you understand "controlled by the Spirit" to mean? I may be focusing on a diffent aspect of the question than you. Perhaps your reply was aimed at "can we know" rather than " is controlled". Nevertheless, it is an important question from either perspective and may merit further discussion. John |

Hi John Reformed, I agree with you that we are led by the Spirit, not controlled by Him. Perhaps you would consider what I have written in the past in threads of Rom. 8:14 and 1 Cor 12:13. From the heart, Ray |

Hi Ray, I found one post on Ro 8:14 but none on 1 cor 12:13. I have the feeling that I came in the middle of a conversation of which I don't know the beginning. Perhaps you can restate the original question for me. Thanks, John |

Greetings John Reformed: The original post we were challenging was:" Nobody can prove being controlled by the Holy Spirit." I took some of the reponses from the thread, added my own and sent them along to the author of this statement. Blessings IN and THROUGH the Spirit of Jesus Christ who dwells within each of us and unifies us by HIS love! Let us love one another in Him! Mommapbs |
