1 | Is this physical or spiritual death? | Rom 8:13 | littleboy_rusty | 2723
Everyone will die physically, unless the rapture takes place befor their physical body dies. This scripture is saying if a person lives to please his physical body and do what feels good even if God calls it wrong, he will die spiritually. If you live by the Spirit you are living by what God calls right, and on judgment your spirit will never die but live on with God.This verse takes in all people, we all have to come to the place to choose God and eternal life with Him, ornot.Have a good day. Hope this helped.
2 | Is this physical or spiritual death? | Rom 8:13 | Joyce Ong | 93061
I suppose this verse and the context is to the believers. Paul was addressing to "my brethren"? I am puzzled why it is stated in the future tense - WILL die. If we continue to put off what we learn from the scriptures. If we continue the old ways of dealing with sin instead of obeying to our best ability, we will die. But what death is it? Is it speaking of a dying of the conscience? Is it numbing of our spirtual sensor/radar so that it is no longer functional that is no longer in tune to God's direction? |
