Greetings step! According to God's Word, adultery is indeed a sin, but in God's economy, all sins are equal! And the penalty for sin is the same too! Romans 3:23 says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." It is SIN that separates us from God, not a specific one! 1 John 1:9 promises that "If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (!) Jesus died in our place, because of OUR sins to satisfy God's demand that "without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness." Please read: Hebrews 9:22, Matthew 26:28, Ephesians 1:7. Going to Heaven is only through Jesus. He died to open a WAY for us to come to God, through faith in Him. (see John 14:6) John 3:16 reminds us that "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." Jesus died to pay the penalty for "adultery" as well as any other sin! But how we respond to this gift of forgiveness will determine where we spend eternity! Keep seeking God - He will show you what is right! Blessings, Mommapbs |
