1 | Do Abrahams works apply in salvation? | Rom 4:2 | Searcher56 | 186176
M.Royal, Hebrews 6:10 and James 2:1-17, as well as other passages show that our works is because we are saved. If we did the same works before we were saved, they would be worthless. Even so, our works after we are saved does not negate nor add to our salavtion ... it just proves it. There are many who need a new heart. Many don't have much life - they can't do much. The heart they get is free (the doctors and hospital may charge a fee) and someone needs to die for them to get a heart transplant. After they get a new heart, they need to give their heart a workout ... works that accompany the change in life. It proves they have a new heart. If they don't people will wonder if they had a heart transplant. Searcher |

2 | Do Abrahams works apply in salvation? | Rom 4:2 | M.Royal | 186223
Thanks Searcher, If we therefore abide in the law of liberty, and speak and do as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty we shall be blessed in what we do (James 1:25 James 2:8,12) which is to love one another as Christ has commanded, as this is pleasing before God (1 John 3:17,22,23). So apart from Abrahamse faith, not his works, if we do likewise concerning faith we shall be saved. M.Royal |
