1 | weep with others is more important? | Rom 12:15 | azurelaw | 216219
Today, I've just heard someone say that it is MORE IMPORTANT to weep with those who weep THAN to rejoice with those who rejoice. Usually I think it is generally true. However, when I rethink about the verse, there is no such comparison in it. So, I started to ponder if the above statement is biblical or not. Your input is much appreciated. Shalom Azure |

2 | weep with others is more important? | Rom 12:15 | BMyers | 216220
Isn't it easier to feel genuine sorrow for someone when they are struggling than it is to rejoice with someone? No matter what we are going through, almost all of us can feel sorrow for a person when they are struggling or have suffered a lost. Yet, rejoicing with someone can be difficult if you are going through a hard time. So, I wouldn't say the first part of the scripture is any more important than the last. I think the last is harder to fulfill than the first. Either situation we are to bear one another's burdens, good or bad. Gal 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Just my 2 cents. Brad |

3 | weep with others is more important? | Rom 12:15 | justme | 216222
Brad:-) I can only speak for me on this subject. I seem to have my share of serious health problems, several life threatening. I will ask my pastor to remember me in prayer, but I restrict the knowledge to him alone. Why? Becaues I would have my name on the prayer list a lot of the time, and I think people would think I complain too much. I find it very hard to ask for empathy or for my sickness to be widely know. So this is my side of the coin. I will gladly share any good news. I am thinking of adding Job to my name too. Blessings. justme...Job |
