1 | age of accountablity | Rom 10:1 | Jensen | 20511
Dear ABeliever2...Welcome to the Forum...:)... While there is no "age of accountability" discussion in the NT, Rom 10:1 is a prayer of intercession for the unsaved that may apply. Also, other prayers of intercession are 1Tim 2:1-6 "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-- 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time." I realize that prayers of intercession have little to do with the age of accountability. I had the thought that your main concern was for the very young, or unborn, child. Will they go to heaven if they die before they are old enough to be "born again."? Perhaps we should look to God's Mercy. Here is a comforting verse from Nehemiah (9:31)that may apply,"But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God." Also Titus 3:5 " he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,." I confess that, if not for the Mercy of our Lord, I do not see how any child who has not reached the age of accountability, who has not confessed with his mouth that Jesus is Lord, will ever enter heaven. God Bless....Jensen |

I must say that i stand in agreement with you and Paul. I imagine there can be few things sweeter to the ears of God than the repentance and acceptance of Messiah by his chosen people. How it must break his heart that they do not all worship in spirit and in truth!
