Where in Acts 6:1-7 do you actually see the word "vote"? I looked for it and did not find it. All it says is that "They chose Stephen... (verse 5)". It does not tell us HOW they chose Stephen. It does not say that they voted. | ||||||

Acts 6:5 "The statement found approval with the whole congregation" ... while the word "vote" is not there ... "found approval" indicates the "whole congregation" did something. If it wasn't a vote, what was it? ... as with "choose" ... we do choose our elected officials as we "vote" |

When we have certain spiritual gifts that God approves of and it shows to others, there is no need for a vote. The whole congregation approved of it. Where as in a vote you usually will not see 100 percent approval. | ||||||
