Hi CMOORE, When you look at Psalm 54 do you see that power is in the name itself or is authority in God Himself? Psalm 54:6, "Willingly I will sacrifice to Thee; I will give thanks to (Thy) name, O Lord, for it is good. For He [NASB margin, Or, it, i.e. His name] has delivered me from all trouble; and my eye has looked with satisfaction upon my enemies." Or I can ask this question if we want to think of the Holy Spirit and His name. Do you think of God as your helper or as your Helper? Psalm 54:4, "Behold, God is my helper [Helper?]; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul." [Lit, as those who sustain] Psalm 54:1, "Save me, O God, by Thy name, And vindicate me by (Thy) power." We serve a triune God. From the heart, Ray |
