1 | Baptism of Children | Acts 2:41 | Aliennow | 159124
Can you help me out about Baptism. I understand the meaning of it and am referring to being Baptized by water. Some debate that infants and children should not be Baptize and actually refer to it as sin. Is their any reference in the Bible about the Baptism of infants and children and if so where. |

2 | Baptism of Children | Acts 2:41 | Makarios | 159125
Greetings Aliennow, I, for one, was baptized twice. The first time, as an infant, with no input or profession of my faith involved. The second time, I was immersed by a Conservative Mennonite pastor, which included a profession of faith and church membership. I believe that all believers, and only believers, should be baptised. The method is not important (immersion, sprinkling, pouring), but I believe that the profession of faith is very important (Acts 2:41, 19:4-5; Matthew 28:19-20). Scripture does not mention the baptism of an infant. Only by 'implying' such can one say that Scripture supports infant baptism. But every time Scripture does mention baptism, it is accompanied with a profession of faith by someone who is of age. Blessings to you, Makarios |
