Johnny, Please show me where it says all the other household members repented. Besides these little children have done nothing to repent. Baptism in their case is for the remission of the sin of Adam, original sin, which Romans tells us is transmitted by decent from Adam. These baptisms, my friend, were a houshold affair as the "whole household" citations clearly indicate. And show me how the "circumcison of Christ" ,baptism, could be less open and effective than the Old Testament circumcision, which brought eight day olds into the Covenant, since we know Old Testament types are inferior to the New Testament fulfillments. Peter said in Acts, "this promise is for you and your children Acts 2:38-39. And please don't say it means that only when the children are grown unless you can show me where it says that. We are simply not going to agree on this. Having now clearly stated our positions there is no point in going over the same ground again and again. Emmaus |
