God is the one who allowed the apostles to lay hands on people to recieve the Holy Spirit, the reciever had no power to lay hands on anyone else. Without laying on of hands happened only twice, the day of Pentecost,and the house of Cornelius! The house of Cornelius is when the gentiles recieved the grace of God. Today no one has that power! And those who teach other wise are wrong in doing so. |

Greetings Grace and Truth! Thanks for your response my friend! Of course, you know what I'm going to ask next, right? Where is the Scripture which teachs what you just said? There is not a single Scriture which distiguishes between the Baptism of the Holy Spirit received without the laying on of hands and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit received with the laying on of hands. I understand that laying on of hands is mentioned in these two passages, but what Scripture teaches that there is a difference between the Gift of the Spirit received in the one way as opposed to the other?
