1 | Luke 7:29-30? | Acts 2:38 | Morant61 | 50634 | ||
Greeting Steve! As I was reading your post, I was reminded of a point I came across in my research on Acts 2:38. As you know, I hold that only the plural command 'repent' is associated with the plural pronoun of the phrase 'for the forgiveness of your sins'. Assuming that this were not the case, then Acts 2:38 would contradict Acts 10:47. According to the baptismal regeneration position, one repents, is baptized, and then receives the gift of the Spirit. However, in Acts 10:47, those listening to Peter repented, received the gift of the Holy Spirit, and were then baptized. How could this be? :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
