1 | Was Drusilla Jewish or an Edomite | Acts 24:24 | Jim Estes | 185110 | ||
Acts 24:24 "But some days later Felix arrived with Drusilla, his wife who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul and heard him speak about faith in Christ Jesus." Drusilla is identified by Josephus as the youngest daughter of Herod Agrippa I, who was an Edomite. Paul says Drusilla was a Jewess. What am I missing? Did she merely practice the Jewish faith and was an Edomite,or is this a different Drusilla? Thank you for your help. Jim Estes |

God's day to you, Jim Estes, It could be that Drusilla embraced Judism. He father betrothed her to Antiochus Epiphanes J(Josephus, Jewish Antiquities, xix. 9. ยง 1) ... he was supposed embrace the Jewish religion (ibid, xx.7.1). I think means while they were Edomites by blood, they followed Judism. Searcher |
