1 | Should (Christian) Jews Live Like Jews? | Acts 21:21 | Searcher56 | 10940 | ||
Is it legitimate for Jews upon conversion to maintain their Jewish culture? Or did Paul declare that any such attempt is illegitimate from the start? Is there another possibility in what Paul is saying? Steve |

Steve, I think it is legitimate for Jews to maintain their Jewish culture, just as it is for a Swede to maintain their culture. However, if they are Christian, they must know that it is grace that saves them, and not their laws. The law about not mingling with non-Jews was shown by God to not apply anymore to Peter (Acts 10), and he was also called on the carpet by Paul about eating only Kosher foods when he was with "mixed" company of Jew and Gentile believers. So I do not believe that it is a neccessity. |

I agree. If any of you have a friend that is, please ask if they could join the Forum. I have gone to some worship services where the presence of a Messianic Jew was very obvious by his dress and hair style (shawl etc.). Now there may have been others there who didn't appear "Jewish". I don't know but would like to find out. Debbie |
