Ok so i've posted a similar question on a Hindu discussion board (not about the assention of christ but another supernatural event from their scripture) the answers were very similar to yours. "you can't prove it didn't happen so it did" , "There were witnesses who wrote it in the scriptures", and lots and lots of quotes from the 'vedas'. I could probably ask some mormons or some budists but i think the answers would be the same. The fact is that there is no magical world that we can't even comprehend. If something cannot be measured tangibly, as in it isn't made from matter, then it doesn't exist. It was only a couple of centuries ago when most humans believed in witches, elves, faries, dragons and all the rest. God is just the last of those mythical creatures to still have a following of believers, he will soon become just a fantasy creature like the rest. I think i've found my truth and i hope you all find yours. | ||||||

And it can be said you are just the last to prove the scriptures are true! 1 Corinthians 2:14 (NASB) 14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. Romans 8:6-8 (NASB) 6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Here are the facts since you are into “FACTS”! 1 Corinthians 15:3-19 (NASB) 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; 7 then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; 8 and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me. 11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. 12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; 17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. If you think so highly of mankind do us a favor and simply create from nothing a seed, plant it and grow for yourself food to sustain you. By the way, the seed must be created by you not taken from that which has already been created. Also, you must create your own water and dirt to plant and feed the seed. You must give it life that it may grow and produce its fruits. Let us know how it turns out! Steve |
