Hi, God's blessing to you. According to Roman historians, the Romans used a wooden cross made from a tree to execute those who committed crimes against Rome. It was also a practise to hang dead bodies of those killed in battle or for heresy against a ruler from trees and let them be picked over by the vultures as a deterent to others to not follow their example. | ||||||
