1 | What light was created on day one? | John 9:5 | Mommapbs | 100255
Greetings and welcome to the Forum! I don't know if "created" is the proper word, but as I read this verse and consider your question, I am reminded that God is Light - when He said, "Let there be light" I suspect that it could be the manifestion of Himself in creation. Another hint is the word good. As Jesus declared, "Only God is good." (Mark 10:18) This is JUST SPECULATION, but an interesting concept to consider: dividing of the light from the darkness . . . could this be the separation of Lucifer and his followers as a result of their rebellion? Did you notice that sun was created AFTER plants? (Gen 1:12) What does science teach us that plants need for life? Ans: sunlight. So where did the light come from for them to grow and reproduce? Ans. God, the Source of all life! mommapbs |

2 | What light was created on day one? | John 9:5 | Ray | 100258
Hi mommapbs, Good thoughts here and interesting speculation. Just last night I was restudying 1 John 5:1 that you were reminded of, "God is Light". I was restudying it because the last NASB copyright reads that way but the 1977 copy has "God is light". I have always capitalized it, but I was reconsidering the verse. God is Light and we are light in the Lord. Jesus said that He is the Light of the world twice in John. John 1:9 I interpret as saying "He was the true Light which enlightens every man." 1 Timothy 6:16 I interpret as saying "who is the only One having immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power." See NKJ also. From the heart, Ray |
