1 | must we eat Jesus literally? | John 6:53 | kama17 | 22732
In John 6 Jesus said we must eat His flesh and drink His blood. I studied the Greek word for flesh used here and it seems to be literal (not figuretive). What could be the proper interpretation?

Hi Kama...When I read this passage...it speaks to me about satisfying our hunger and thirst with the Spirit of Jesus....so we ask Him to fill us with His Spirit...and then obey by reading and studying and living His Word out in our lives. This is how we have life...only thru Jesus' death and resurrection and identifying with Him in both. There is SO MUCH in the passage...we could write a whole book!!! In summary...we will not have any life in us unless we feast on Jesus by daily 'eating' and 'drinking'. He is the bread of Life....His Spirit is like living waters. Blessings of a full life in Christ to you! Hugger |
