Hi mommapbs, thanks for your answer! The man's respone to Jesus is "i'm trying". The man are unmotived and lie to himselves. Yes i agree that Jesus was presenting a challenge to his faith. My last question means: Many times, we see what God wants us to do...But we don't believe we can change. So we make up false doctrines-just believe (vs. change) Interestingly, James2 tells us no change same as no faith! Sure in God alone can. If we really want to change, we need personal training, tutoring, support groups, motivation..... Which goes back to Jesus' question to this man..."Do you want to get well?" (NIV) For the Lord Lialia |

Throughout God's Word we are told to CHANGE the way we THINK and ACT!. Notice what has to be changed first. Obviously, desire is at the root of all directed change. We must believe, as James 1:6-8 exhorts, without wavering! Knowing that I can do nothing on my own does not excuse me from seeking the ONE who is able! Blessings, Mommapbs |
