Bible Question:
John5:1-9 Why did Jesus ask such a "ridiculous" question? Why the man's response to Jesus in other answer? Why we are difficult to believe we can change? |
Bible Answer: Dear lialia, In addition to mommapbs' thoughtful response, I would add this: He asked this question for the same reason people have to be convinced to accept the free gift of Grace of God through Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It should be a no-brainer, so why do some still reject it? Because, as you said, it means they would have to change. Contrast this story with the woman who had the flow of blood(Matthew 9:20-22), who took it upon herself to demonstrate her faith in Jesus' ability to heal her. God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect!! 2nd Samuel 22 |
