Worship is devotion. It is what consumes our thoughts and imaginations. Worship originates in the heart. That is why Jesus said, (John 4:24) "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Praise is external, we can praise with false motives. Praise doesn't always reveal the true condition of the heart. God looks on the heart and judges the thoughts and intentions, He knows whether your praise truly reveals your heart, or not. Worship styles vary among churches because the Holy Spirit and gifts of the Spirit are perceived differently by different denominations. God doesn't change, but the agenda of mankind sometimes gets in the way of God's will. We read throughout scripture, of the continual cycles of man falling away, and God by His grace, redeeming. The only perfect church will come into being when the Bridegroom (Jesus) comes to get His bride (His church) to reign with Him forever, AMEN! | ||||||

Worship means to kiss toward from the Greek word proskuneo. It is not a kiss of romance or affection, but that of submission. The Hebrew word is shachah, which means to be prostrate before ... one who has absolute rules over you. Searcher |
