Greetings Arrow1! This is a very subjective argument on both sides, but as evidence of my position I would offer up the many 'false' doctrines which plagued the early church. If it were true that simply being closer to the time of the time of the apostles, then why was so there so much heresy in the early church? :-) I have read many of the writings of the early church fathers, and in my opinion, there is a noticable drop off in quality between their writings and the writings of the apostles. But, you have your view on them and I have mine. And, that is alright. :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
