1 | The uniqueness of Jesus as God's son | John 3:16 | JdthCstl | 44433
The bible states that Adam And Eve, had sons and daughters. It does not stay that God And Eve had sons and daughters. David, Isaac, Soloman, are offsprings of Adam and Eve. Jacob later called Israel is an offspring of Adam and Eve.

I didn't say that God and Eve had sons. It's God addressing that Adam is His son ,see Luke 3:38, In Romans 8:14 It says for as many as are led by the spirit of God thay are the sons of God. Now going back to John 3:16 God says Jesus is the only begotten son but how come there sre so many whom He called sons?

Greetings May-it! Christ is not in the same league with men or with angels! This is an important question, and one will go far astray unless they clearly see a distinction between Christ as the "Son of God" and angels or men as 'sons of God.' The Bible indicates that Christ is eternally the Son of God in the sense that He has always had the nature of God. (Hebrews 13:8) He was not created, and He is just as Divine as the Father is. However, we never read of "sons of angels", since angels do not give birth (Matt. 22:30), and angels were directly created by the hand of God Himself. In this way, angels can appropriately be called 'sons of God' (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7). With man, it is quite clear from Scripture that all humans came from a single man, Adam. (Acts 17:26, Genesis) And Adam was the only human who was completely 'hand crafted' from the earth by God (Genesis 2:7). God directly created Adam, and in this appropriate sense, Adam can be called 'the son of God' in Luke 3:38. In Romans 8:14, "sons of God" is meant in the sense that we have become children of God, being adopted and in-grafted into the Branch by our faith in Him! Our faith in God's unique Son (John 1:12-13) is what makes us 'children of God' and, therefore 'sons of God.' And being led by God's Spirit is the hallmark of this relationship. I hope that this helps! Makarios |
