1 | why doesnt god have the power? | John 3:16 | DANNYP | 150237
well Matt, there are two issues here. 1. What is your definition of hell? do you think that God with His infinite love would create a place where all His children would suffer eternally?? 2. Agency. God will not "make" anyone believe. He will help and try but he would never take away our agency. Infact there is a 3rd issue. do you think there will be a chance for those who didnt hear God's word in this life to accept Jesus Christ in the world to come? I do. I dont think that God would condemn His child just for not having a chance to recieve the gospel. I hope this shed alittle light. Danny |

Danny: Concerning theological matters, what you think, what I think, what everyone else thinks isn't worth a counterfeit nickel unless it is firmly grounded and molded in the word of God. You say, for example, that you THINK that there will be a chance for those who didn't hear God's word in this life to accept Jesus Christ in the world to come. Danny, if the Bible teaches this thing that you THINK, then the Bible contradicts itself, for it says, "And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). .... Danny, you concluded your post with these words, "I hope this sheds a little light." How could it shed any light at all? What you said in it not only failed to reference a single verse of Scripture but nothing you said was founded upon orthodox, biblical doctrine. Danny, you simply must take heed of what this Forum is about: it's a study Bible Forum; and as such you are required and expected to respond according to the Forum's guidelines, one of which is to validate your theological arguments with solid scriptural proof. So please, no more idle speculations. We've had enough speculations already to last us for years. We want to be taught God's word. If you don't know God's word well enough to teach us something about it, we suggest you confine your participation to asking questions, then sitting back and learning something yourself. Please don't lead others astray by continuing to post unscriptural guesses. --Hank
