1 | why doesnt god have the power? | John 3:16 | Sent By God | 150107
hey guys. thought of my question... last night when i was reading my daily devotion i was thinking about the story before i went to sleep. it was about saving unloved ones and it noted that God loves everyone, even those who dont beleive. why is it, that if he loves everyone, that those who dont follow him go to hell? it said something about how God has to get his sinful people back from satan so they too can be saved. if god made people, and the devil for that matter (an x-angel) how come satan has a lot more power as far as who gets saved goes? this is a question i often think about but have never received a clear answer from anyone. i really hope someone can give me light and help me with my problem. thanks everyone, and god bless. Matt. |

2 | why doesnt god have the power? | John 3:16 | DANNYP | 150237
well Matt, there are two issues here. 1. What is your definition of hell? do you think that God with His infinite love would create a place where all His children would suffer eternally?? 2. Agency. God will not "make" anyone believe. He will help and try but he would never take away our agency. Infact there is a 3rd issue. do you think there will be a chance for those who didnt hear God's word in this life to accept Jesus Christ in the world to come? I do. I dont think that God would condemn His child just for not having a chance to recieve the gospel. I hope this shed alittle light. Danny |

Hi Danny, I'm not sure where you're coming from, my friend:-) You're offering a lot of opinions, but very little scripture to back them. In answer to your question, "do you think that God with His infinite love would create a place where all His children would suffer eternally?? Yes! The bible tells us this very clearly. We confuse His love with His attribute of wrath. ( John 3:36, Rom. 1:18) You really haven't established scripturally "why" you don't think that God would condem His child for not having a chance to receive the gospel. I think the onus of proof is on you:-) Would you care to provide the Forum with some Chapters and verses that would back your assertions? Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
