1 | The message at the wedding at Cana? | John 2:1 | Makarios | 11690 | ||
Dear John, Do you see Mary asking Jesus something here? The only thing that I see here is that Mary is telling Jesus simply that "They have no more wine." Thats all I see. I do not see any request, any acquiesence on Jesus' part or anything. However, Jesus does perform the miracle of turning water into wine in the presence of Mary. I feel most 'comfortable' and at peace when I am with my Lord and Savior, just me and Him. When I can tell Him what has happened during the course of this day, tell Him all of my fears, joys and aspirations, I can tell Him and I feel loved and accepted by Him! I do not have to be distanced from Him, but I need to pray, stay in His Holy Word and purge my life from all sin. This is when I feel the most comfortable: in the presence and loving company of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I do not see the need or any comfort in having any other ally except Jesus. If you also believe in Jesus, then we can encourage each other in the faith! If someone has died that knew Jesus during their life, then I pray for their families, that they would know Jesus based on the Godly example of the member who died. Thank you for asking, my Catholic friend! Nolan |
