1 | Was Mary an apostle? | John 20:18 | Mommapbs | 95052
Greetings Makarios! Was Mary "sent by (and with) the authority of God" to bring Jesus' message to the "brethren?" If so, then she was an apostle - just like you or me, at times, and we are not Apostles either! What I believe that the Lord is trying to get through to me is to be more open to those to whom He has given His authority . . . male or female. Blessings, mommapbs |

2 | Was Mary an apostle? | John 20:18 | Makarios | 95062
Mommapbs, Moreover, I believe that using Mary in this way is a rather 'weak' way to give support to the fact that the Lord 'commissions' both men and women. Perhaps a much better example to use would be that of Aquila and Priscilla (Acts 18:2, 26; Rom. 16:3; 1 Cor. 16:19; 2 Tim. 4:19), which would lend more support that God calls and gives authority to both men and women. Blessings to you, Makarios |
