For one area, try John 1:2,3 vs. 2. The same [Jesus] was in the beginning with God. vs. 3. All things were made by him [Jesus]; and without him [Jesus] was not any thing made that was made. Other Bibles mention all things were made through him [Jesus]. Here is the process, as follows: From God, through Jesus, creation is made. The Moffatt translation says it nicely, as follows: vs. 2 He was with God in the very beginning. vs. 3 ...through him [Jesus] all existence came into being, no existence came into being apart from him. This verse shows Jesus working in co-ordination with his Father, Jesus using the enabling power of the Holy Spirit provided by God. |
