John93, Jesus is God, as much as the Father is God and, the Holy Spirit is God. They are all 100 percent God. Praying in Jesus' name, doesn't mean to just say His name at the end of a prayer, but to pray for what is revealed to us by Jesus and the Scriptures as the will of God. Many believe that we can and should pray for just about anything we want. But the Bible does not teach that at all. Jesus gives us an example for us to fallow in how we should pray. He says for us to, acknowledge the Father as holy, to have a desire to see Him come in glory to restore the corrupt world, to ask for our daily bread [which is probably referring more to Spiritual food] forgive our sins, as we forgive others, and to lead us away from evil. Prayer is not a grab-bag, as some would have us believe. So what we pray for is what is meant by praying in His name. That would be anything that advances the kingdom of God and His Gospel of Salvation or to edify and protect the saints, keep us from danger, etc, etc. Not praying for stuff, that would not in my opinion be praying in His name.
