Scripture ... Col 1:6, 23 ... BABYNATE, As with verse 6, since this is in the past tense (aorist, passive, participle as Tim has posted), I believe it is a hyperbole. The Western Hemisphere had not yet heard the Gospel. What do you think? |

Matthew 24:14: "And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world so that all the nations will hear it; and then, finally, the end will come." Certainly this could indeed refer to the angelic announcement in Rev 14:6. But it is also interesting to consider that at the 9/11 memorial service in Washington DC, Billy Graham presented the Gospel message in his remarks. This service was carried LIVE throughout the whole world and silmultaneously translated! We have had the technology to do this for years, but never the occasion! God can indeed work everything out, including the horrific tragedy of 9/11, for the good of those who love Him! |
