Subject: Where does the Bible say all have heard? |
Bible Note: Thanks Tim for that thought! I posted this somehwere but here it is for you to consider: After prayerful consideration and much study of this passage I have come to the conclusion (MINE) that the opportunity to be saved DOES exist after to Rapture of the Church right up until the Second Coming of Christ. I am basing this opinion upon 2 Peter 3:8-10 " The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. . ." This advent is the Second Coming, not the Rapture of the Church! Sadly, those individuals, who are part of God's elect, that "miss the Rapture" will suffer greatly during this time of His wrath. It is reasonable to believe that all, except the 144,000 witnesses that are Divinely "sealed" by God, will die. ("Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on for they will rest from their trials." see below) God comforts them in this passage: “The people who are destined for prison will be arrested and taken away. Those who are destined for death will be killed. But be not dismayed, for here is your opportunity to have endurance and faith." Rev 13:10 Rev. 14:12- 13 “Let this encourage God’s holy people to endure persecution patiently and remain firm to the end, obeying His commands and trusting in Jesus. Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on . . . for they will rest from all their toils and trials; for their good deeds follow them.” In Mt 24:13 Jesus also said, “But those who endure to the end will be saved.” (However I don't believe this means being saved from physical death!) What must one do “to endure” or to be “victorious over the beast”? Rev 15:2 1. Obey the Lord's commands – be a testimony for Jesus, proclaim the Word of God (Rev. 20:4) 2. Do not worship the beast or his statue. 3. Do no accept his mark on the forehead or hand. After Jesus returns to earth, those who remain unrepentant will be trampled in the winepress of God’s wrath. (Rev. 19:15) At this point I agree that the opportunity to be saved is over. We read throughout Revelation that "those who were perishing" or "on their way to destruction" refused to repent even though they were warned! So be it! I find that when I cannot understand something, trusting in God's sovereignty is the ultimate answer. He says, "What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy." Romans 9:14-16 He chooses us! Praise His name! Mommapbs |
