1 | Is being filled the same as receiving? | John 14:16 | Searcher56 | 140236 | ||
Scripture ... Acts 2:4, 4:8, 4:31, 9:17, 13:52; Eph 5:18 ... The word used for filled (above verses) is pletho ... and is not the same as receive (lambano) seen in Acts 2:38 and elsewhere. This always happens AFTER what? Acts 1:5 and Acts 11:16 say "baptized with the Holy Spirit" ... who does this refer to? Where ele do you see "baptized with the Holy Spirit"? Note that the word is baptizo ... again a different word. Therefore, how can you equate any of them. |
