1 | Do you have a Prodigal in your family? | John 13:35 | justme | 65341
Does anyone have a Prodigal in their life. My wife and I found a book by Ruth Bell Graham, called PRODIGALS (AND THOSE WHO LOVE THEN). We have wept and felt helpless, and prayed for our Prodigal. We have felt isolated, and kept our Prodigal situation to our self. Mainly because of judgements, and fear. This book is a healing that I would like to help anyother family that has a Prodigal in the family. This is a book of hope when you feel all hope is gone. I hope this helps someone else out there in the forum. I know we are not alone. justme |

2 | Do you have a Prodigal in your family? | John 13:35 | ava4 | 65342
Hi again justme, Sadly for my family I was the Prodigal. They could have used the book you mention. I know my mother shed many tears over my mis- conduct. She is gone now and it has become my turn to shed tears for the pain I caused her to suffer. My wife and I also had a Prodigal who ultimately brought us soul shattering pain by commiting suicide nearly four years ago. It was only by God's grace and great undying love for my wife and I that we are able to share. If Ruth Graham' book is all that you say it is I join with you in recommending it to anyone with children. You may not have need of it in your own family but, it might help you understand the pain your neighbor is experiencing and open your heart in support of their trial. It's so important to reach beyond our own walls. I'm going to buy the book for even more understanding. Thanks for the recommendation justme....Dennis |
