1 | Why Jesus prays to his Father | John 10:29 | Morant61 | 11196
Greetings Isa! My friend, you seem to have very little regard for the Bible. But, even the Quran says that the Bible is from Allah. 3:84 says, "Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)."" Doesn't the Quran also say that not one of Allah's words can be changed? So, if the Bible is from Allah, how can it be so wrong? Was Allah not able to protect it? Were mere men able to change Allah's word? In Christ, Tim Moran |

2 | Why Jesus prays to his Father | John 10:29 | userdoe217 | 11365
Yes, he let it happen. It is not a question about what he was able to do, rather than what he did. Just as Christianity came to supercede Judaism. Do you follow the Torah? The Injeel, (translated Gospel) and the Taurat (translated Torah), not specifically the Bible, are the word of God. But like you said. It was changed. 2:106 None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things? |

3 | How can it be a revelation yet err? | John 10:29 | Morant61 | 11398
Greetings Isa! Christians do not believe that the Old Testament was replaced by the New Testament. The New Testament is simply the continuation of God's saving acts. Both testaments are fully in accord with one another and equally God's Word. I understand that Muslims believe that Islam has superceded Christianity. However, what I don't understand is the attempts to tear down the Bible. If, under your system of belief, it was a revelation of Allah, then surely it cannot be full of errors in the way that you describe it. This seems to be a contradiction in your faith. In Christ, Tim Moran |

5 | How can it be a revelation yet err? | John 10:29 | Morant61 | 11425
Greetings Adamsmasher! This thread started as a discussion with a Muslim friend. It has kind of wandered away from the verse. Sorry for the confusion! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
