1 | once saved always saved? | John 10:28 | ChildofGod1988 | 208699 | ||
Just a few comments, as this particular debate can get quite tiresome for me. I agree that nothing can remove us from the salvation plan, but I fully believe that we have the ability to leave that which we entered into freely. Acts 2:38, and Hebrews 6:1-6. Acts tells us the order in which we receive certain things. Word, Salvation, Holy spirit. Hebrews warns us against not growing spiritually, because it could lead to what is the saddest thing in the bible to me. One who has known the way, who has partaken of the Holy Spirit, falls away due to spiritual stagnation. I understand the Word to NEVER say that God will let go of us as long as we abide in Him, but it seems to me that we are MORE than capable of denying that which we accepted. I look forward to the replies, thanks for taking the time to read this. God bless, COG |

I didn't have any idea I was entering a debate-!? If that's what it is, then I am already tired of it. I have no intention of debating the efficacy of eternal life, either you have it, or you don't, there is no conceivable fraction of eternal. You can certainly walk away from your Father, just like the prodigal son, but he is still your Father. Over and out. God bless John |
