1 | Questioning Apostasy | John 10:28 | son of god | 207641
Yes,I do question apostacy particularly in Luke 8:13 the word never took root. those that fall away were never saved in the first place. He says and a stranger will not they follow, but will flee from him; for they know not the voice of strangers John10: see al of John 10. the people in the passages you mentioned were as hirelingss and were never truely committed in the first place like Demas Phil. 2:20 and 2nd Timothy 4:10. when ever I prepare bible messesages I sometimes use atheist literature to weigh thier unbelief, most people are afraid to even visit an atheist web site, unfortunately there are some self professed Christians that have weak and wavering faith. Again these folk are not ever saved in the first place they are just pretenders. that is why Jesus says in Matthew 7:21 not everyone that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. I am talking about saved for real and not just Church goers. Yet you make a good point for a theory.
2 | Questioning Apostasy | John 10:28 | Wild Olive Shoot | 207651
Son of god, I’m not wanting to debate the once saved always saved, the very reason I responded as a question to change the topic. My question was specific to your comment that you question apostasy when it is very clearly spoken of in scripture, more than a few times. If your answer is that when scripture speaks of apostasy that it refers to only the unsaved, well then, that was all I wanted to know. My concern was that you seemed to object to something that is without a doubt confirmed with scripture, for there is a falling away. Is what you are saying then, that you don’t necessarily question apostasy, but rather to whom it applies in scripture? Surely, apostasy is a fact. And you contradict yourself simply by claiming to question apostasy and then immediately say “those that fall away were never saved in the first place”. If you question apostasy, how could you believe there is a falling away? That’s kind of like saying I don’t believe in the boogie man when he is not scaring me, see what I’m saying? Stand in His grace, WOS |

Not wanting to debate either, but this is why people church hop because they are not committed to anything in particular especially the Lord. What I am trying to convey is that church membership is like belonging to a social club and does not mean one is a true believer. a true disciple that is a disciple indeed does not get offended by his brother to the point of comming to blows, which is why some fall away. I know people that have left the faith because they could not get along with anyone.
