Doc If in the most basic truths of the scripture, there is still an argument raging in your mind against the obvious truths of God's word, start again, ask God what is right, the word or some other mans theology? I am certain he will say, "My word is truth, no other theology." John 17:17. If he doesn't say that, all mankind is lost. Don't lean so heavily on another man and his theology of long time past, "vain is the help of man" Psm 60:11 "through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies" Psm 60:12 ( both flesh and evil spirits). I assume you know the source of good and evil? Only good comes down from God James 1:17, Micah 6:8 Good is doing justly, loving mercy and humbling yourself to walk with (obey) God. Evil is the opposite of Good! unjust, merciless, pridefilled, disobedience to God. Humility is described as the walk of Jesus: "and being found in fashion as a man, he HUMBLED himself, (how?) and became OBEDIENT....(to whom? God!)(how long? Up to and including)the death of the cross" Phil 2:8 You do realize that is speaking of Jesus even though his name is not "specifically" mentioned in that verse????? Many things are discerned, not just read. God will put the pieces together for you as you do as Jesus said to do, " If you continue in MY WORD THEN you are my disciples (learners) indeed; and you SHALL know the TRUTH and the truth (you know) shall make you free" John 8:31-32 He was talking to Jews that BELIEVED on Him.... There is a difference between a believer and an unbeliever! A believer, believes the word of God. An unbeliever disputes and opposes the word of God. Always in Chirst, C.S.M. |

Dear CSM, From this I assume that you cannot justify your doctrine of all sin originating in Satan. This, your most recent post, has even less to do with that assertion than your former posts. Now, I'm certain that I am a man worthy of far more denigration than what I'm receiving from you. It is unfortunate, however, that you are unwilling to instruct me... after all, I could be wrong! However, in the face of the dearth of Scriptural justification or refutation of the orthodox interpretation of the Scriptures offered, conscience will only allow me to retain the Biblical doctrines in lieu of the teachings which you alone espouse. I am sorry that all of this troubles you so. My grandfather used to say, "You can't reason a man out of something he hasn't reasoned himself into." Usually when I get my feelings all roused up on a topic, it is a sure sign that I've stopped thinking. Thank you for expressing from your heart. In Him, Doc |
